Up to 100,000 pilgims a day visit this Hindu Temple in southern India. The Temple is dedicated to Venkateshwara, the deity of wealth. Pilgrims give offerings in hope of having their wishes granted. Cocunuts are smashed and then placed in the fire, and many pilgims also donate their hair to Venkatshwara, as a symbolic act of renouncing their ego.
